JC/DC Travels To Salt Lake City

5 youth and 3 adults of JC/DC early in the morning before leaving for Salt Lake City.

Kevin here. I'm one of the adults of JC/DC from Albuquerque. Yesterday was a travel day for our group from New Mexico. We left Albuquerque a little after 6am. We spent about 5 hours on the road before we reached Moab, UT where we had lunch at a lovely local cafe and then after lunch spent the afternoon hiking around Arches National Park in the 104 deg heat.

After spending the afternoon at Arches, we all piled back in to our Suburban and set off for the final 4 or so hours of our drive. The drive on US-6 from Green River to Provo was amazing! It was so B-E-A-UTIFUL! We stopped off at this amazing rest area that was themed based on an old train station.

We finally arrived around 10:30pm, almost 16 hours after setting off. All in all, it was a great trip up. We all laughed so much, I think our sides hurt.

Well, that is all for now. We are getting ready to leave for a scavenger hunt in downtown Salt Lake City. Should be fun...

Kevin signing off.
